wow...been a long time...

Well, it's now been about a year since i've put anything up here... so i figured it was time to do that.
Over the year, it's become more and more busy with Caleb now able to get around the house by himself... i'm so proud.
here's a list of accomplishments that he's achieved:

he's started to wave hello and bye-bye.
he can crawl
feeds himself... all be it sort of messy
he has stabbed daddy in the eye with a pen. (i'll see if i can post that on youtube or something.)
he has figured out that a MAGLITE is NOT a flashlight, but a blunt impact weapon good for hitting ankles
he has figured out that daddy's food is always better than his own. Ive actually started putting my food on his plate and his on mine so that he eats enough at meal times
Caleb has now figured how to take his pants off by himself... and my oh my...does he ever like it!
has absolutly destoryed my house.
can say momma and dad, and ask for a bottle and shakes his head no.

as for monique and i, well, we are still plugging  along. Monique is back to work 3 days/week cutting hair agiain. I on the other hand continue to work at the church. yaay!
so that's just a quick update. i'll try to update more often... but you can always check out the facebook page. sometimes it's updated too... but not very often either.

If you want a REAL update, you should email me and tell me what you're up to first...i'm more inclined to  respond that way ;)

Whiplash...ouch

Well...it's been an exciting few weeks... well i suppose this all happened over a matter of 4 days.... last week wednesday, some friends and I were returning from lunch when we came across some street construction. we were in the left lane and traffic started to move again. When out of no where, a Shaw Cable van wrecklessly cut in front of the Ford expidition that was in front of us... so the ford hits the shaw van and we hit the Ford... so... a big dodge van and a ford van were what we ran into.... it may as well have been a brick wall. needless to say, whiplash occured and dang it hurts. But we're all alive... little sore, but doing just fine. No one had any major injuries. Thank God for that.

then on saturday i got to officiate my first wedding! that was exciting! Good thing i've been a in 12 or so weddings... It was a great wedding... about half hour long, absolutly beautiful. It was such a beautiful thing... I think Monique did just about all the hair of most people involved... the Bride, 2 bridesmaids, flower girl,  groom, mine, the 2 MC's, 9 other helpers... wow...good thing monique likes this sort of thing... too bad Caleb didn't. He ended up without getting any sort of a nap in the afternoon at all so he was a little cranky..oh well... he made us pay for that one. i think it was more the fact that whenever i finally got him to fall asleep, some crazy lady or little girl (a hem...pineapplegirl...you know who you are) would come an poke him. grr... look. you keep poking the fat kid and one day he's gonna snap. i've warned you.

well on the other hand, Sunday was much better... Caleb got his first kiss... Clara and Josh's little girl Sarah was in the nursury with caleb... they smiled, She walked over, caleb smiled, stuck out his tongue and Sarah fell on Caleb... akwardly landing mouth to mouth. I wasnt there, but Josh Clara and monique were... so you'll have to ask them about it.

what a whirlwind of a weekend.
well, it's monday...back to the grind.

wow...5 months already

Well, it's been quite a long itme since i've posted... I'm starting to realise what little time i have  in the day...expecially now that we have a kid.
Well, let me catch you guys up on a few things since my last post almost 3 months ago...
Monique and i are still doing well. we're adjusting well to having a child that pretty much dictates all the decisions and activities listed in my day. Monique is getting to be a little stir crazy, so she went back to the shop for 1 night a week... more of a mental break from being mom than anything.

Caleb is doing really well too! He's now got 2 teeth with the 3rd one on the way. He's cuter than ever with his new tricks... "attack!" "bite!" and roll over. yah... lots of fun. He started rolling over by himelf in the last 2 weeks. He's soo much fun now. Smiles all the time, and taht smile could brighten anybody's day. If you're having a crappy day, just boot up the old computer, and take a look at this smile.... dang he's cute.

Let's see... right. If you still havn't heard, Joyce and Dave had a little boy too! We all met up in Vancouver and i met little Jadon. Wow... i thought Caleb was a little chubber... Jadon is HUGE!. Way to go Sis!

anyways, check out the new pics... and havea great day. I hope i've shared a little bit of joy that brought you a smile... If not, here's a joke:

Russian guy, Cuban guy, Chinese guy and Canadian guy are sitting on the train in Vancouver. Russina guy whips out a bottle of vodka, ours a round for everyone and throws the rest out the window. Canadian guy goes "why'd you do that!?! Such a waste!!"
Russian guy replies " We have lots of vodka... a little bit less is no problem."
Cuban guy follows the example, whips out box of ciban cigars, gives one to each person and tosses the box out the window saying "in my country, we have lots of these.. a little bit less, is not a problem."

Before the chinese guy could whip out his cheap pirated dvd's, hte canadian guy gets up, grabs the chinaman and throws him off the train. The russian and Cuban are Shocked and asked "what did you do that for!?!?!"

The canadian replies" Well, in my country, we have lots of these...a little bit less is not a problem!"

Ah ha hah.... wow. probably a little bit "racist"  type of joke... but hey, i'm chinese too... and i stilll Laughed.  (commence operation "railroad")

First and second plane ride!

Well, a little while ago we took caleb to go meet is grandpa donald. we'll post some pics of that and some of his first trip to Medicine hat to go see Grandma/pa Leibel.  It was definitly good to see old friends, and to catch up with everyone that i could. Too bad we couldnt stay longer, and no sorry, no intentions of moving back anytime soon. You'll just have to come see us... well actualy we're planning another trip out to the coast in july... vacation for monique and Caleb...me; i have a conference to be at.

Anyhow, Monique and Caleb have been in Medicine Hat for the last 7 days which means the house is absolutly a pig sty... ok it' really isn't since i've been living basically in my car and office. It's just so lonely at home  But i cant complain. the uninterrupted sleep has been nice but i'd trade that anyday to have my little lady and my littel boy back.

Anyways, it's golfing season, archery season and just about biking season, so i'm going to go and do one of those things. let me know if you're in town and wanna go shoot stuff.

catch you later

well... he's 7 weeks old now.

It's crazy... the little poop machine continues to excel at his 3 favourite events. Pooping, eating and farting. As of  Saturday april 14th he'll be  7 weeks old... it's crazy that it's almost 2 months. The time has gone by sooooo fast. Monique and i are doing well... we're getting into the routine of having him around, changing diapers is getting easier and stuff.

Last week we went out to Vancouver to see my parents. My dad met Caleb for the first time and he approves. Grandpa took quite the liking to the little guy, but quickly gave him back when there was any 'rumbling' in the diaper. good call grandpa. especially since lately giant poops leaking out of the diaper have been happening at a large frequency.

oh and yes... a new hobby that caleb has taken to is puking on me. if it happens today, it'll make it 15 days in a row. you think i'd learn to cover up and shield myself...but noooo... apparently when you're this tired, you always manage to have a part of you body uncovered...which caleb is very good at hitting. all i can say is eewe. at least he's only puked in my ear once. glass half full i guess.  well, check out my pics of vanvouver... got some good pics with friends and stuff.

Gigantus Poopus Maximus

Gigantus Poopus Maximus... The name for the giant poop that went down the legs, up the back trhough the diaper, through Calebs undershirt, and through His sleeper to hit the pillow. All i could say was: Wow. Got some new pics up now. take a look at Calebs littl green outfit. It was his first trip to church where he promptly yes...pooped. And after we changed him, pooped again. All in all though, He did really well with the hustle and bustle of the business of church. He didnt seem to mind being around so many people. That's a good thing. Anyhow, speaking of poop...it's that time again...

Knife safety and a baby update.

Knives are not for opening commercially packaged plastic wrapped electronics. If you try, you may end up stabbing your foot between the big toe and the "index toe," resulting in a bloody mess. Yes. I am retarded.

On to funner things to think about... So caleb is now 5 days old. (i'll get a few more pics up shortly). we brought him to see a doctor today and we had him weighed. So over 5 days, he's gained 4 ounces. He's eating well, and getting kind of round. SO i figure if he's gained 4 ozs in 5 days, that's possible that in 10 days he'll have gained 8...in 15 days it'll be 12 and 20 days he'd have gained another lbs. So...in a month he'll gain 2 lbs... that means.... he's gonna be a little butter ball if he doesnt stop gaining weight. i gotta start pumping weights.

anyways, i'll spare you the details of his washroom achievments. All i'll say is "wow... that's the nastiest thing i've seen come out of a person."

So... the sleepless nights continue.

until next time.
